Stumbled upon it while browsing through Nokia India site when i found it. Unfortunately, when registered, your mobile number will be +91..
It lets you backup your phone directly to your My Nokia account using WiFi or your network data plan.
Unfortunately for some retarded reason or the other, the Nokia N82 is missing from the list of supported devices , so i couldnt get the site to send the configuration message to my phone number,hence i couldnt test it. I dont get it though , what could be the reason ? The Nokia N95 classic , N95 8gb and even the N81 are all supported. What gives , Nokia ? Is it related to the fact that the N82 has that new fangled "User data retainer" feature ?
Anyway , it seems like a very convenient feature that might come in very useful to many people. This way your backup is stored online and you can restore it onto your phone anywhere you go ! Heck you don't even need to be next to a computer to restore your backup , all you need is a network data plan and your phone.
