Windows Mobile 6.1

Windows Mobile 6.1 available as discussed here.

I have loaded it onto my Treo750 using the Hard-SPL method since the bootloader method did not work for me, i.e. laoded CHEEIMG.nbh onto my SD card root folder performed a reset but got "serial" and did not update my Treo.

I downloaded the Cheetah Hard-SPL & SIM Unlocker discussed here.

Opened the CheetahUnlocker.rar file. Clicked on CheetahUnlocker.exe (did not extract it). Ran the application on my PC with my Treo attached via USB and the CHEEMIMG.nbh file still in the root folder of my SD card. Clicked step 1, followed the steps and finished the upgrade on my Treo.

Note: if your Treo is already SIM unlocked, no need to do 2 and 3 on CheetaUnlocker.

Once the update is complete, performed a hard reset (radio on + soft reset key) and followed the set-up. Voila! Treo 750 with Windows 6.1.

    Hi, the link for the Cheetah Hard-SPL unlocker program is not valid anymore. Do you have a copy of the program? can you post it/send it?? thanks so much, I like your site!

    Hi Jhosie, I must be having bad luck. Thanks for posting a reply! however, i tried to download it and it gave an error "You're attempting to download a file greater than 10MB.". I have added you to my messenger (on your @hotmail address) probably you can send it to me that way and we can also chat a bit. I have added your site to my rss agregator too!

    Great Site!

    I'm interested in unlocking my Treo 750, which is Cingular branded.

    So, the Cheetah Unlocker is the way to go? Does that have anything to do with upgrading Windows to 6.1?

    If the Windows 6.1 upgrade "official" or is it some sort of hack?

    And do you know what SPL means?

    I've had my Treo 600 for years, but this 750 makes me feel like I'm starting on day one!

    I think by now 6.1 is official.. I have not played around with my Treo for a while now and you just prompted me to! thanks!
